Designed for couples who value meaningful growth and are ready to move beyond surface communication fixes, our work focuses on healing attachment wounds, navigating identity dynamics, and creating a relationship that reflects your shared values and vision. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), relational neuroscience, and culturally-informed practice, I guide you through the core emotional cycles that shape your bond—whether you're in crisis, at a turning point, or seeking to strengthen intimacy. This is a space where love is redefined on your terms, and where your relationship becomes a source of healing, not harm.

Designed for individuals and couples navigating the sensitive terrain of desire, betrayal, emotional disconnection, or sexual dissatisfaction within high-stakes relationships. With a queer-affirming, trauma-informed, and emotionally nuanced approach, we address the deeper roots of ruptures—whether due to infidelity, mismatched intimacy needs, evolving identities, or unspoken resentments. Together, we work to repair trust, restore emotional safety, and reignite authentic intimacy, honoring both the complexity of your journey and the capacity for renewal. This service supports those who value personal accountability, relational depth, and the creation of a more honest, embodied, and erotically alive connection—one that reflects who you are today, not just who you’ve been.

Our services are fee for service and not covered by OHIP.  While many clients pay out of pocket for their sessions, most prefer to use their extended benefits. We are happy to support you however we can if you do not have extended benefits coverage.

Should you want to use your benefits to pay for sessions, it is important that we match you with a therapist who has the credentials to cover you.

When looking at your benefits package, determine if you have coverage for any of the following:

    • Registered Social Worker (M.S.W. or R.S.W.)
    • Registered Marriage and Family Therapist (R.M.F.T)
    • Registered Psychotherapist (R.P)
    • Registered Psychologist (C. Psyc)

At The Relationship Room, our therapists are social workers with extended training to work with relationships. If you have coverage for another type of practitioner, we are able to provide referral suggestions.

When calling to inquire about services, please note:

    • All therapist types covered under your plan.  Most clients know that they have psychologists/psychotherapy coverage, but double check that you also have social worker coverage.
    • Note when your coverage year starts and ends (it is not always the calendar year)
    • How much coverage you have per year to budget your sessions.

Individual sessions are typically 60mins, while couples or family sessions are 1 hour and 30mins long.

The frequency of counselling sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some couples prefer to come in weekly, while others prefer bi-weekly or monthly sessions. The number of sessions is determinant on your situation. While some situations can be resolved within 8 to 10 sessions, many of our clients require more. We have found that for couples to strengthen their bond, they often require a minimum of 12 to 20 sessions. However, individual results may vary — please contact us to inquire further.wer to this item.
